Believing in Babylon (page 4)

The final page of a short graphic novel following the biblical story of Daniel, with a note from our illustrator, Matthew Vincent.

For page 4, I wanted the contrast between Nebuchadnezzar and his triumphant joy at burning down the temple to juxtapose Daniel’s lament. This created a nice contrast when Daniel is consoling Nebuchadnezzar in his repentance. Even though he could have rejoiced in the situation, he instead chose to love and serve the leader of the culture that destroyed the center of worship for his people.
