Wilberforce's Two Great Objects (page 1)

Page 1 of a short graphic biography of English anti-slavery campaigners Hannah More and William Wilberforce in Georgian era England, with a note from our illustrator, Wade McComas.

My gut reaction to having so many specific name call outs is to honor them and draw a quick portrait. In this case, I did just that, but about 5 names in, they began to feel less sincere. I decided to have a little more fun with it and add it a bit more subtly. And I think it came out for the better!
