Wilberforce's Two Great Objects (page 4)

Page 3 of a short graphic biography of English anti-slavery campaigners Hannah More and William Wilberforce in Georgian era England, with a note from our illustrator, Wade McComas.

Emily's text on this page did a good job showing the contrast in world views of More/Wilberforce/Clapham and the elites of society and the church. I wanted to create a mini story in a story to show the arrogance of the first guy with the child and Hannah with child. Kind of echoing how the Bible says, WE are the church. Not the building, not the music. Our actions are our testimony.
